FAQs

We assess and support clients with a wide range of hair and scalp conditions, including male and female pattern hair loss, telogen effluvium, androgenetic alopecia, alopecia areata, scalp disorders and inflammatory conditions.

Who will carry out my consultation?

«

Your consultation will be with one of our Consultant Trichologists, Stephen James or Christopher Benedict, both of whom are experienced specialists in hair and scalp conditions.

How long does a hair loss consultation take?

«

Initial consultations typically last 45 minutes to 1 hour, allowing time for a thorough assessment, discussion, and explanation of findings.

What happens during the consultation?

«

We will review your medical history, lifestyle and hair care routine, perform a basic health check, examine your hair and scalp with specialist tools, explain our findings, and create a personalised management plan.

What is included in the basic health check?

«

The health check includes a snapshot of your vital signs, such as pulse rate, blood pressure, respiratory rate, temperature, oxygen saturation and blood glucose, to help identify any immediate or relevant health concerns.

Will I receive a hair loss diagnosis?

«

Our aim is to provide a likely diagnosis based on your assessment. In some cases, further tests such as blood work or scalp analysis may be recommended to confirm underlying causes.

Do I need to bring anything with me?

«

If possible, please bring photos showing the progression of your hair loss, recent blood test results, and a list of current medications, supplements, and hair products you use.

Will I feel pressured to start treatment?

«

No. After your consultation, you will receive a detailed report so you can review everything in your own time, with no obligation or pressure to proceed.

Do you offer follow-up appointments?

«

Yes. We offer follow-up consultations, progress reviews, and ongoing support to help manage your condition and support long-term hair and scalp health.
